Temple of Heaven, Mennyorszag temploma

A hetvegen befejeztuk a kotelezo Kinai turista latvanyossagok listajat. Ebbol a rendszeres olvasok (meg ugye a cim is sokat sejtet), mar tudjak, hogy a Temple of Heavenben jartunk.

Temple of Heaven

Amikor az ember a nev hallatan egy nagy templom epuletet kepzel el, akkor kicsiben gondolkodott.

Kinaban minden jelentos latvanyossaghoz tartozik egy hatalmas kert (magyar viszonyitasban ez Parknak mondhato 276 ha) Ez sem kivetel maga Park akkora, mint az Info Park otthon. Jegyet lehet venni csak a Parkba (15 yuan setalo jegy) vagy a teljes komplexumba (35 yuan), ami szinten nem csak egy darab templom epulet. Diak szokas szerint nincs -nemzetkozi diakkal-de ha eloszor csak setalo jegyet vesz az ember majd meggondolja magat a templom latogatasat illetoen, akkor csak a kulonbozetet kell fizetnie. A tura (itt a tavolsagok miatt inkabb ez a helytallo kifejezes) egy jo egy oras varakozassal indult a tuzo napon, mert a helyi AIESEC kepviseloit vartuk, meg 2 masik gyakornokot, aki szinten angolt tanitanak es jottek varostnezni. Ez kicsit rontott az elmenybol es megint meg kellett allapitanunk, hogy nem lennenk jo Kinaiak; KIAKASZT A VARAKOZAS. (mar igertem egy kulturalis kulonbsegek II. bejegyzest itt majd reszletesen irok a Kinaiak viszonyarol az idohoz) Ennek ellenere eljutottunk a Temple of Heaven-hez, jelentosege mind asztronomiai mind vallasi a csaszar itt vegezte az osszes jelentos szertartast az evben, es ugy tartjak ez egy osszekoto pont a Menny es Menny fia kozt. Az epiteszet a jellegzetes kinai cserepcsempeket, tuzvedelmi szornyeket (lasd: forbidden city), piros oszlopokat, kek fakazettas mennyezetet vonultatott fel. A Mennyorszag temploma a Ming dinasztia alatt epult ugy kell elkepzelni mint egy osszekoto-pont a menny es a foldi vilag kozott. Ezert is volt rengeteg allataldozat helyszine, a komplexum resze nehany diszes istallo (na ha nem olvastam volna utan nem tudnam, hogy istallo nem ugy nez ki) ahol az aldozati allatokat tartottak majd kadakban meszaroltak le oket. Lehet hogy a sok aldozat halala vagy maga az hogy eleg turistas a hely, de nem ereztuk megkaponak az atmoszferat. Persze ennek ellenere kotelezo ide latogatni, ha valaki Beijingben jar.

This weekend we finished of our turist must-sees list, the updated readers know this means we visited the Temple of Heaven. (also readers who didn`t miss the first line could have a right guess) The word Temple of Heaven assumes a seculiar building but this is more like a complex. In China all landmarks are to be found in a big garden (back home we would consider it as a park, being 267 ha, approximately the size of Info Park in Budapest). When purchasing tickets don`t expect them to accept international student card, but both walking (15 yuan) and Temple of Heaven visiting ticket (25 yuan) are sold. In case you change your mind during walking in the park you can still buy a ticket for entering the Temple of Heaven complex and only price difference must be payed. Getting there and visiting the whole complex is not a simple walk it is rather a tour. And we started off after waiting one our for the local AIESECers. This made us realize again we are not truly Chinese yet. Senseless waiting freaks us out big time.

(I promised blogging about cultural differences that will cover Chinese way of handling time) Finally we arrived at Temple of Heaven this has both religious and astrological significance. It is belived to be a transfer station to Heaven, a divine link between Heaven and the son of Heaven. The emperor conducted all the main rituals here during the year. Architecture is traditional Chinese involving fire protection dragons, blue wooden hammerbeam roof, colourful mayolica tiles and red pillars. The place itself gave home to many sacrifices maybe that is the reason why it doesn`t have a nice ambience. Or possibly it is due to the very touristy feeling here. Anyway we think it is still a must see in Beijing. Just our top favourite is still the Lama Temple which actually has a really peaceful atmosphere.
